It’s actually a very reasonable question.
No one knows your business as well as you do. But your business is about doing something, not writing about how great you are at doing it.
That’s where I come in.
Copywriters have one simple skill: we can write content on your behalf that’s ten times more effective than if you wrote it yourself. And we do it in a fraction of the time and (if we want to stay in business) at a very reasonable cost.
So yes, you could write all the copy for your website, e-newsletter or company brochure yourself. But ask yourself a few questions:
1) Do you really want to? It’s a lot of effort after all.
2) Are you really going to do the very best job of it? You’re amazing at what you do, but writing about what you do is merely the necessary but boring bit. Can you pull it off better than a professional writer?
3) How valuable is the time you’re going to take doing it?
Point 3) is pretty crucial. As much as I don’t like using the hackneyed phrase “time is money”, I can’t deny that these days, it’s really true. Maybe, if you spent three days doing nothing but writing (and rewriting) that speech you’re supposed to give next week, you’d eventually have it down pretty well. But if someone can do it better than you, and in half a day for a very reasonable price – why would you bother doing it yourself?
So why use a copywriter? And, more specifically, why use me?
I’m not just here to write smart, scintillating copy that increases your sales and/or customer enquiries – though I do that pretty well – I’m also here to save you time, effort and expense.

That’s how confident I am about what I do.
